Wednesday 1 June - Day 5: Santorini - Getting Ashore

We needed the tenders to get ashore on Santorini.  As we were on an excursion, we had to go to a different landing area compared to those who were just going ashore to look round.  This was further away, so it took us a while to actually get ashore ....

Norwegian Jade was often with us on this cruise and MSC Orchestra was also visiting Santorini on this day.

This cruise has broken all records - between us we've won 6 quizzes and a raffle.

Tuesday 31 May - Upper Tier Loyalty Event

There was no general loyalty event - think there are now too may cruisers on the lower tiers.  This was the upper tier event, but no canapés any longer.  The captain did sing to us - and he was pretty good!

It was a sort of swan song for him as he told us he would be leaving the ship the next day on Santorini for annual leave.

He also introduced us to his senior managers.

We also met French Karen, whom we had previously met on the Dubai cruise ....

Is Starbuck's really that depressing?

The statue is of course that of Mustafa Kemal Attatürk, widely regarded as the founder of modern Turkey.

This of course is not a statue!
